Each year, English Fun Day serves as an open hub for students from the English class of Thang Long School to freely discuss and acquire social knowledge and, most importantly, to challenge themselves as they have to communicate in English throughout the entire event.
This time, with the main theme of “Self-care,” the event combined teamwork and physical activities, which excited participants. From ‘treasure hunting,’ where they found scraps of paper with hints hidden in eggs transferred by spoons, to impersonating some basic yoga postures, with one of them claiming that their attempts were quite humorous as many had never tried these before.
On top of that was the role-play session, where they performed skits addressing unhealthy habits affecting daily life, with all scripts in English!
By the end of the event, all students had learnt about the basics of physical, mental, and emotional health, and how to manage these in school, family, and daily living. Needless to say, their confidence in English has improved significantly!
